The What If Tool

The “What If?” Bias tool is a simple way to shift your mindset when you find yourself stuck worrying about everything that could go wrong. Instead of letting your brain run wild with worst case scenarios, this worksheet encourages you to write down both the negative and positive “what ifs” side by side. By doing that, you start to see that for every scary thought like “what if I fail” there is an equally possible uplifting thought like “what if I succeed.” It is a quick exercise that helps you stop catastrophizing and instead look at challenges with a more balanced and hopeful perspective
